What are BitBonez?

With a deep-rooted love for RuneScape, we wanted to show our appreciation by making art that will live on the blockchain forever. BitBonez is a RuneScape-inspired pixel art NFT collection that is hosted on the Binance Smart Chain. The collection contains 2007 randomly computer-generated Bonez. Each Bonez has a unique combination of backgrounds, Bonez colours, faces, shirts, pants, shoes, items, hats, amulets and messages.

You can mint BitBonez through our website. Until all 2007 have been minted, anyone with a Binance Smart Chain wallet can mint a Bonez. Once all 2007 BitBonez have been minted, you will have to use a marketplace to get your hands on a Bonez. While we want to list BitBonez on OpenSea, they have yet to support the Binance Smart Chain, but will in the future. For the time being, we will list BitBonez on the multi-blockchain NFT exchange WhaleCrate.

Why did BitBonez use the Binance Smart Chain?

BitBonez chose to use the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) because of the network's cheaper gas prices. Over the past month, the cost to mint an NFT over the Ethereum network has been close to $40 USD. That means if we ran the smart contract on Ethereum and you wanted to mint 7 BitBonez, you would need to pay close to $280 USD in gas alone. Compared to minting an NFT on the BSC, it costs around $0.25 USD. Not everyone has the money to pay these gas fees, and that is why we developed on Binance Smart Chain.

How can you get a Bonez?

How do I know what Bonez I got?

If you mint a BitBonez within the first two weeks of this project, YOU WILL NOT KNOW WHAT BITBONEZ YOU GOT UNTIL AFTER THE REVEAL. The BitBonez reveal will happen on Friday, April 16th, 2021 at 20:07 UTC, or when all 2007 BitBonez have been minted, whichever is sooner.

Where can I sell my BitBonez?

BitBonez follows the ERC-721 standard, this means Bonez can be transferred freely amongst Binance Smart Chain wallets. bitbonez.com will not provide a marketplace for BitBonez and have no control over users creating secondary markets for BitBonez on third-party websites. While we want to list BitBonez on OpenSea, they have yet to support the Binance Smart Chain, but will in the future. For the time being, we will list BitBonez on the multi-blockchain NFT exchange WhaleCrate.

What happens if I mint a Bonez just before the end of a price tier?

If you mint over one BitBonez near the end of a price tier, there's a chance of price slip, don't break your bonez! For example, say the current supply is 999 (1 left before the price changes from 0.07 to 0.27) if you mint 7 BitBonez you could get all of them for the old price, 0.07 BNB. This mechanism helps avoid reverted transactions.

Where can I see the Bonez that I own?

You can see the BitBonez that you own on our wallet page. If you connect a wallet, you will see all the BitBonez that you own. Sidenote, the BitBonez you own will appear as tokenID if the reveal hasn't happened. This is because a BitBonez is not assigned to your tokenID until the reveal function has been called.
